What to expect

* Hard Alcohol/Smoking/Vaping

Loosening up beforehand isn’t always a bad thing! But there are lots of different ways to manage nerves, but tequila in the makeup chair isn’t one of them. I’m happy to bring in a hot tea, or offer something to do with hands- but please keep hard liquor drinking, vaping or other intoxicants to AFTER makeup has been completed. (does not include mimosas. I’m not a monster)

* Cosmetics and Allergies

Client agrees to disclose ALL allergies and skin conditions to the artist (yes. Even food/medicine/plants) cosmetics contain a variety of ingredients that can be life-threatening for a hidden allergy. Certain medical conditions should also be discussed- ie- Celiac’s Disease, Gluten or Corn allergy, synthetic fragrance

* Liability

The makeup artist cannot use any personal liquid or cream cosmetics- rest assured. I do have your shade. Powder products will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Should the client choose to bring their own lashes- they MUST be brand new, still in the box or blister pack.

* Location and Accessibility

When services are performed on-site, the client agrees to disclose the presence of small children or animals/pets, Client agrees to inform the artist of location accessibility- ie: stairs, elevators, parking, valet, etc… This is for the safety of the Artist as well as the client. Curling irons are HOT and roaming fingers can be dangerous.

When elevators are not available- the artist will pack accordingly. Per safety, difficulty, and timing reasons- services will be performed at a single location. Please plan accordingly.

* Hair

Please come with very clean, VERY dry hair. Blow drying takes extra time and costs all of us money- so if you must shower- consider covering your hair or using your blow dryer BEFORE coming. There is no guarantee that the artist will carry a dryer- please be prepared

* Skin

Feel free to use your normal skincare, but please arrive without makeup. You’ll be able to rinse beforehand, but without a clean slate-, the makeup we apply won’t live up to its potential, and its performance cannot be guaranteed.

* Cooperative Spirit

Please try to remember that 99% of the inspiration photos that you see are heavily filtered, and usually heavily edited. Things like slight hair frizz and skin texture exist on everyone and cannot be changed by makeup or curls. Nothing, I repeat, Nothing in this world is “perfect” By managing what is achievable, together you and your artist can create a look that is both beautiful and elevating. Trust the process!, It always comes together.

* Tips and gifts

I love presents! It’s so extra appreciated and I am grateful! However, please don’t feel obligated. If you wish to show your appreciation, either with cash or a gift- please don’t offer alcohol/liquor or marijuana. (I’ll never say no to a coffee with dairy cream, though…)

* Reschedule/Cancellation

* I offer one complimentary reschedule for each client – stuff happens. If the client must reschedule a second time, a fee of 50% of the amount due will be required to secure the date.

Should the client cancel services after 3 day period- 50% of the total due will be required, or in the case of weddings- the retainer will be… retained. Should the client cancel within 10 days of the service date- payment will be due in full.

* Bridal Parties

We love big parties! Seeing friends and family come together to support the bride is the most wonderful feeling! Whether we’re there to serve 2 people or 20, it’s going to be a great time! It bears mentioning that the Artist’s products and supplies are for BOOKED/PAID clients only. Things like setting spray, bobby pins, lash glue etc are not free for us to purchase- so will not be offered to anyone who is not utilizing our services. Your artist’s table contains tools and products that have been Sanitized and Disinfected between events. Please help our space stay hygienic by keeping food/drinks/fingers off our tables and products. We’d LOVE to show you what we use- but please ask with words.

* Timeline

Hair and makeup take time! Add in the planning and executing of a large event, and it can take even longer with those interruptions. We arrive with a timeline, and when it is ignored- everything takes even longer still! We don’t want anyone to be late, so please take note of our timeline and remind everyone of where they should be and when ~
